Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server Release 5.4
Long story short, the system is running slow, either by a slow nas or device, more info here. Sometimes cause of lockup is in log after the warning from nmi watchdog. The current stack trace is displayed upon detection and, by default.
Everything Appears To Still Be Running Ok Though.
Hey guys i have several vcenters and pscs running 6.5.0.5500 and 6.5.0.14000 that are spitting out nmi watchdog bug soft lockup on their consoles. Many linux kernels have a soft lockup watchdog thread, and report soft lockup messages if that watchdog thread does not get scheduled for more than 10 seconds. Sensors is a very useful command. [irqbalance:898] whenever i stop all the docker containers that are running on the control node it seems to not have any more cpu lockup errors but as soon as i start up all the docker containers again that are running openstack services on the control node it starts to run very slow. It is possible your motherboard is getting auto values wrong, look up the cpu on cpuworld for the specs you will need when using manual in your bios.
Maybe In Pastebin Etc, Just Remove Some Sensitive Information.

I believe the issue is in the kernel space itself. Refering to the back trace at the last part of the screen capture, i suspect testd was crashing and that triggered a cpu soft lock up. Current time for cpu is greater than watchdog threshold causing a soft lockup.
